brand protection

Invisible images in print
Nautilus can add layers to standard Pdf files whereby invisible information can be embedded into artwork.  The resultant image is indiscernible from the original and can only be revealed by using a special lens that matches exactly the digital signature of the image.  This lock and key approach is excellent for brand protection where covert information can be checked by authorised personnel. These invisible codes can be used to clearly identify at which stage counterfeit goods are entering the supply chain. Codes typically used are country codes, product codes and distributor codes.

The great advantage of this approach is that it is a high technology solution that involves normal technology in its implementation. Although the generation of the image and lens is extreme high tech, the process of printing is unchanged.  The process of verification does not require complicated electronic scanners; just one of our special frequency lenses the size of a credit card.

Invisible image embossing
In many circumstances it is not practicable to hide invisible holography within artwork. Equally, many designs leave areas of plain white board. For these cases Nautilus has developed an incredible process by which materials themselves can carry an invisible signature. A similar lock & key approach to that used with the printed Nautilus, that
can be read using a simple but highly specialised polycarbonate lens.

Nautilus manufactures a range of machine tools that fit into normal manufacturing processes. These can be ordered to fit a variety of printing presses and embossing machines:

Flat embossing dies in magnesium or brass.
Rotary embossing dies.
Gravure Cylinders.
Injection moulds.
